Veterinærkatalogen is a free Android application developed by Felleskatalogen that provides you with updated information on veterinary medicines marketed in Norway. The application stores the information on your device, making it readily accessible even without an internet connection. With Veterinærkatalogen, you can access veterinary catalog texts, weblinks to package inserts and SPC, ATC register, poisoning information from Giftinformasjonen and NMBU Veterinærhøgskolen, alerts from Legemiddelverket, and searchable registers of pharmaceutical companies, organizations, and pharmacies.
To scan barcodes on medicine packages and find the nearest pharmacy, the app needs access to your camera and location services. The camera is used to scan barcodes on medicine packages to provide you with easy access to veterinary catalog texts. Location services are used to detect your location so that you can see a list of the ten nearest pharmacies from where you are. The list shows the distance to each pharmacy, and the nearest one is at the top.
